No matter where you are in the world, Christmas is a time for being with family and loved ones.

Originally from Southeast Asia, James and I are used to warm, sunny Christmases. And while Australians traditionally celebrate Christmas with family and loved ones just like the rest of the world, it is not unusual to accompany the occasion with a BBQ, weather permitting, instead of cozying up to a blazing fire in front of a fireplace.

However, because our families are overseas, it is rare that we are in Melbourne over the Christmas break. This year for me was no exception but James spent Christmas in Melbourne and we share with you some of the festive moments of Christmas 2011.

We wish you happy holidays!
