All hail her majesty!

It was a gorgeous October afternoon in Melbourne as throngs of people gathered to catch a glimpse of their beloved queen.

Despite tight security, young and old waited under sunny blue skies and crowds gathered in the streets from Flinders St and St Kilda Road, as lines of people snaked themselves down Russell Street.

On what may be her last visit to Australia, Queen Elizabeth was also travelling with husband Prince Phillip by her side.

Enjoying a tram ride through the city, the queen was the epitome of grace as she smiled and waved at the many who had taken the time to pay their respects.

At Federation Square, James joined the crowds to capture these shots.
